Frequently asked questions
How much does the hall cost, how long does construction take, who arranges permits and what is included in the price. Answers to questions that investors solve most often.
Price and budget
5 questionsThe price depends on the area, height, cladding and what is included in the delivery. You can find the approximate range per square meter on the page Hall prices, where there is also a breakdown into individual items. You can get a specific number in the menu for free — we need to know what will happen in the hall for that.
With us, the project, engineering work, earthworks, foundations, steel construction, assembly, cladding, windows and doors, sheet metal flashings and floors. When another supplier is missing one of those items, you're not comparing the same thing.
With split delivery, you pay the margin of each link in the chain, coordination between companies and downtime at the work interface. When one company does the same with its own capacities, these costs disappear. It's not a discount at the expense of quality, it's a different price structure. More on the page Why choose a general contractor.
Yes, and we do it routinely. The structure can be designed so that it can be extended later — but this must be taken into account from the beginning, otherwise the extension is complicated.
For some types of operations, yes, mainly in agriculture and energy saving. Conditions change every year, so we deal with it individually.
Dates and progress
5 questionsThe assembly of the hall itself takes from thirty days. But the whole process from request to approval is longer — the longest and least predictable part is the permit procedure, which takes three months to a year. You can find a detailed breakdown by phase in the article How long does it take to build a hall.
It depends on the free production capacity and whether you have a permit. We'll tell you at the first consultation — and we'll tell you the real term, not the one you want to hear.
Installation of steel structure yes. Earthworks and concreting are more sensitive to the weather, but they don't stop completely either.
Authorization procedure, outstanding assignment and split delivery. Changing the layout at a time when the structure is already being produced means delays and additional costs.
Yes. We have completed extensions where the investor's operation was not allowed to stop working even for a day — for example, the expansion of the laundry reception or an extension between two buildings.
Permits and documentation
3 questionsYes. We will process the documentation and conduct engineering work until the permit is issued. It's the part of the process that takes the most time for investors, so we do it for them.
All you need is a plot of land and an idea of what you will do in the hall. We will solve everything else together.
Not necessarily, but network connections are part of the build and it's good to know ahead of time where they are.
Technical decisions
9 questionsWe build both. For most operations, steel works out better — in terms of speed, the cost of the foundations and the possibility of later changes. Concrete makes sense for extreme environments and some fire requirements. You can find the comparison in the article Concrete or steel hall.
Depending on traffic. PIR for common halls, mineral wool where a fire solution is required, cooling panel for operations with a constant temperature. Thicknesses range from 40 to 200 mm. More in the article PIR, PUR or mineral wool.
It is derived from what will happen in the hall — not from the area. In the warehouse, the height of the shelves is decisive, in the hall with a crane, the height of the lift, in the service, the height of the jack. Every extra meter is also a volume that must be heated.
Yes, but he must be reckoned with from the beginning. The crane runway cannot be simply added to the finished hall — the load is carried by the columns and foundations, which must be dimensioned for them. More in the article Crane track in the hall.
For a steel structure, yes — extend, cut for a new door, add a built-in. Tell us about the intention in advance and we will design the structure in such a way that it goes without complications.
Yes, if the structure is designed for it. The panels will add approximately 0.2 kN/m² to the roof. When they are taken into account in the design, it is a matter of units of percent of the cost of the structure. Additional reinforcement of the finished hall is many times more expensive.
Depending on load and operation. For halls with high point loads, we choose reinforced concrete, in the food industry and services, a polished surface or an epoxy screed. If you are planning underfloor heating, this must be known in advance — the composition of the floor changes from the first layer.
Most often with underfloor heating or gas systems. The decision is made during the design of the floor, not after approval. Comparison in the article Hall heating.
Yes. Either the terrain is leveled, or the object is partially sunk into the slope — then a support structure, waterproofing and drainage are needed. We've done both, including our own area embedded two-thirds into the slope.
Quality and warranty
4 questionsWe provide a 60-month warranty on the work.
A load-bearing structure for decades. The decisive factor is the surface protection, which we design according to the environment — from paint in normal operations to hot-dip zinc or a duplex system in aggressive ones. For one stable, we used a coating system for corrosion aggressiveness level C5 with a service life of over 25 years. Explains concepts glossary of terms.
sheet metal flashings, drainage and surface protection of the structure in aggressive operations. The sandwich shell does not require routine maintenance.
Yes. Our own premises in Uherčice is also a showroom — we will also show you details that are not included in the offer. And upon agreement, we arrange a visit to one of our customers.
