Turnkey cold storage and food halls
The difference between indoor and outdoor temperature can be fifty degrees. Each thermal bridge is then reflected in the energy bill.
Three risks that show up late
Thermal bridges in detail
It is not about the panels, but about their connection, penetrations and anchoring of the structure. That's where the losses you pay every day are created.
Freezing of the subsoil under the freezer
The soil under the floor freezes and lifts it. It only shows up after the first winter — and then it's hard to fix.
Moisture in the structure
Without a proper vapor barrier, the insulation gets wet and stops working. You can't see it from the outside until it's too late.
These things cannot be fine-tuned afterwards. Either they are in the project or there is a problem.
What do we deal with in cold storage buildings?
Insulation and panel thicknesses
Usually 100-150 mm for cold stores, 150-200 mm for freezers. The proposal is based on a thermal engineering calculation.
Connection details
Panel connections, penetrations, anchoring — places where thermal bridges form.
Floor and insulation against freezing
For freezers, insulation of the floor slab, for demanding operations tempering the subsoil.
Vapor barrier and airtightness
Connections, penetrations and details around the door. Without it, the insulation will get wet.
Doors and air curtains
Every opening means cold escape and freezing. High-speed doors practically always pay off in cold stores.
Separation of temperature zones
Shipping, cold storage, freezer. We design the layout so that transitions are short.
Hygiene and HACCP
Washable surfaces, rounded corners, waste water, hygienic loops for staff.
Cooling engine room
Space for technology, heat removal, service access, condensate removal.
Don't refrigerate what you don't need to refrigerate
It is often worthwhile to separate the expedition and the background into an uninsulated or less insulated part and cool only what is really needed.
We will advise where cooling makes sense and where it is just an unnecessary expense for decades.
Why build with us
Experience with refrigeration operations
5 projects including the machine room for Aqualand Moravia.
Custom projection
Details of insulation and thermal bridges are handled by us, not by a subcontractor.
Cooperation with technology suppliers
We will prepare the space exactly according to their specifications.
General contractor
Foundations, construction, cladding and floors from one company.
How much does a cold storage hall cost?
10 000 – 15 000CZK/m² construction with cladding and assembly, for freezers and higherThe most expensive type of hall we make. The reason is stronger insulation panels, a more demanding floor and a solution to the details.
What cold store operators ask
The technology is supplied by a specialized company, with whom we will agree on the parameters. We will build the hall in such a way that it follows on from it — including the machine room and passages.
Usually 100-150 mm for cold stores above zero, 150-200 mm for freezers. The exact design is based on a thermal engineering calculation.
It's a real problem — the frozen ground rises and damages the floor. It is solved by insulating the board, in demanding operations by tempering. We already take this into account in the foundation project.
We design operations with HACCP in mind. We consult specific requirements according to the type of production.
Yes, but it needs to be taken into account in advance — due to the connection of the insulation and the capacity of the technology.
Call us right away
We can handle technical and price questions over the phone in a few minutes.
Let’s discuss your project
All you need is a plot of land and an idea of what you will do in the hall. We'll solve the rest together — we'll get back to you within 24 hours. And if you want to see it live first, come and see us in Uherčice.
