In the month of November, we had the unique opportunity to look inside the production process of rolling IPE steel beams in the smelters Dąbrowa Górnicza, which are part of the steel complex in the Katowice region. Thanks to this experience, we gained a deeper insight and understanding of the entire production cycle of rolling steel profiles, which represent one of the key raw materials in the production of our assembled steel halls.

Automation and speed
The smelters in Katowice are equipped with top technology, which enables highly efficient and fast production. The entire process, from the initial phase of rolling, through subsequent straightening and dividing the material into the required lengths, was fully automated. One of the key moments was watching the beams being rolled, where we could see the precision and power with which the metal is transformed into its final form. Automation in this process not only increases efficiency, but also ensures consistent quality of the final product.
For the management of KovoSmetana, this visit to Katowice was an invaluable benefit. Seeing the production process of our input raw material from the very beginning to the end result gave us a better understanding of our own industry.
