Connecting bridge Brno
For JAPO Transport s.r.o. in 2023, we produced and assembled a steel connecting bridge with dimensions of 22 × 3 m, which connects two buildings on the campus in Popůvky.

What exactly did we build?
About the project
Glass connection of two buildings without going outside. The JAPO Transport steel bridge in Popůvky measures 22 × 3 m.
- Without pillars under the bridge: The entire span is carried by the end supports in the buildings. The space under the bridge remains free; the structure must at the same time limit vibration when walking and not overload the supports.
- Accuracy at both ends: Focusing took place before production. At the same time, the bridge had to connect to two existing height levels and correspond to the dimensions of the glass panes.
- Space for thermal movement: Long steel structure changes length with temperature. The connection and storage of the glass must allow this movement so that the glass shell does not crack.
- Distribution of supplies: We supplied steel with polyurethane coating, all-over glazing by a specialist subcontractor.
A third different order for the same customer: the car wash from 2022 and the truck wash from 2023 were followed by a connecting bridge.
