About the project

About the project

Gym with free play area. The 32.80 x 19.20 m extension offers 630 m² and a ridge height of 9.855 m.

  • Unobstructed range: The entire 19.2 m width is without intermediate supports. The height respects the space needed for ball sports.
  • Asymmetric roof: The angled ridge creates roof planes of different lengths and slopes. Therefore, each part of the frame transfers the load differently.
  • Access corridor: The secondary structure has a mono-pitch roof at a height of 4.015 m.
  • Fire protection: When heated, the fireproof coating creates an insulating layer and slows down the heating of the bearing steel.
  • Cooperation with DAG SLOVAKIA: We implemented the construction as a subcontractor. In the same year, we also delivered a school extension in Bratislava for the same partner.

In the school gymnasium, the free span, the required height and the fire protection of the structure must work together.
